在《死亡筆記》系列憑Ｌ一角走紅國際的新一代男優松山研一，今回再與「死亡」結緣，卻不再做正義之師，而是突破型仔形象，首度以「牛蒡男」及「惡魔Band友」姿態亮相。根岸宗一(松山研一飾演)本來是一個夢想成為型格音樂人的大好青年，卻硬被唱片公司捧為惡魔系Death Metal Band的主音「Johannes Klauser 二世」。但命運弄人，如此悲劇式的安排，卻變成令人爆笑的喜劇。「Johannes Klauser 二世」的白臉邪魔形象大受歡迎，唱片更大賣特賣，DMC樂隊搖身一變成為備受注目的人氣樂隊，而根岸宗一從此踏上死亡金屬不歸路，以台上台下兩個身分過日子。負責演繹這角色兩個不同形象的松山，今次會再次展示其超凡演技。

"Detroit Metal City”, a manga written by Kiminori Wakasugi, has been drawing a great deal of attention among the young generation. The story is about a pure-hearted 23-year-old boy who joins a Death Metal band “Detroit Metal City” (DMC) by chance and eventually becomes its charismatic vocalist under the fictitious name of “Johannes Klauser II”. The story hilariously describes the array of his woes until he finally faces off against the legendary and world-renowned Death Metal vocalist “ Jack IL Dark” on the stage.
